There are many books I wanted to add into this list and since 28 doesn’t feel so big when it comes to books, I’ll be listing down books that created a memorable impact till date. Some books have a special place in your heart because you read it at a time when you could emotionally relate to it therefore my opinions won’t be comprehensible to others. So kindly excuse.
1) Asterix and Obelix.
I began reading books when I was in the 6th grade which was pretty late for someone to start reading but that was the toughest period of my school life and Asterix and Obelix gave me so much of good memories.
2) Thumbelina.
Thumbelina was maybe the first audiobook I ever listened to when I was a kid. I remember my uncle gifted me the audiobook which was a cassette tape and I kept listening to them whenever I had a free time. I loved that book.
3) Enid Blyton’s Famous Five.
I used to read the Famous Five series as well as the Enchanted Wood series by Enid Blyton. Wish I could get my hands on them again.
4) Roald Dahl’s Matilda.
I cannot pick one single book of Roald Dahl, but if I have to, IF I have to it will be Matilda followed by Fantastic Mr. Fox and The Magic Finger.
5) J.K Rowling’s Harry Potter Series.
I guess almost every kid was reading Harry Potter during the time and I have done the most stupidest things during those times.
6) P.G. Wodehouse’s Jeeves Series.
P.G. Wodehouse’s books were life, at first it was difficult to understand his humor but once you start reading them you have to read the rest of them. I liked Jeeves series as well as Wooster series.
7) Arundati Roy’s The God of Small Things.
It was a book that came into my hand by accident. My dad had that book in his collection and I decided to give it a read. Best decision made.
8) Sherlock Holmes Series.
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Famous Series before it became a Cumberbitch( Fan’s of Benedict Cumberbatch) and Robert Downey Jr Fan’s obsession, the books are brilliant to read.
9) Dan Brown’s Digital Fortress.
Even though a lot of people liked The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons, for me Digital Fortress created a much bigger impact in me.
10) Jeffrey Archer’s Kane & Abel.
I love everything written by Jeffrey Archer and if I had to pick a book it would have to be this book which I strated reading first.
11) James Hadly Chase’s books.
I liked his books during my school days and my dad was the one who introduced me to this author.
12) The Opposite of Lonliness.
Marina Keegan’s book was published after her death in a car accident and the essays and stories in it were truly remarkable.
13) The Blind Assassin.
Margaret Atwood’s book had a different narration that no other books had.
14) Snow Crash.
The book by Neal Stephenson was so addictive I might have finished the book in a day.
15) Malgudi Days.

R.K Narayan’s Malgudi Days reminds me so much of my grandfather who was an ardent fan of R.K.Narayan and I happened to read his books because of him. I liked Swami and friends too.
16) To Kill a Mocking Bird.
I love Harper Lee’s every book and this one is my favorite.
17) The Kite Runner.
Khalid Hosseini’s book is a must read.
18) The Series of Unfortunate Events.
Lemony Snicket’s book was one of those books which I couldn’t stop reading till I finished it.
19) The Accidental Tourist.
Anne Tyler’s brilliant writing made me read many more of her books. Love this author.
20) Perks of Being a Wallflower.
Every young readers should give this book by Stephen Chobsky a go.
21) The Alchemist.
Paulo Coelho’s classic novel and one of the best.
22) The Diary of Anne Frank.
This book is close to my heart and I can read it any number of times.
23) Chanel Bonfire by Wendy Lawless.
A very fast read and a memorable one at that.
24) Room by Emma Donoghue.
A new age classic novel.
25) Bossypants by Tina Fey.
Tina Fey is kickass and her book depicts just that.
26) The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
Steig Larsson’s book is something I would have never read if someone wouldn’t have suggested it and there are no regrets.
27) The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.
Douglas Adams book made me fall in love with sci-fic even more.
28) Phantom Tollbooth.
I love fantasy books and Norton Juster’s narration was brilliant.
I know many people would disagree and contradict with many of the books, but these were my personal choices and most of them I still remember in the back of my head. Hope you enjoyed the list, have a good night/ day everyone 🙂
