Mia is no extra-ordinary woman. She is barely 5’2 and petite but has long brown hair that falls down to her knees. Her eyes sparkles like the deep blue ocean and her nose is so small, she was “miss tiny buttons” through out high school. Mia is a thirty year old receptionist at Galerie Dorrothy Daniel in Paris. The Art gallery is owned by the most famous Dorrothy Daniel and Mia always thought of herself to be lucky working under the greatest artist France has ever seen. Mia even though wanted to be a well-known artist like Dorrothy, her lack of audacity made her extremely satisfied with what she had and never thought of putting herself out there for the past six years. Everyone who worked with Mia had everything good to say about her including her modesty, charm and thoughtfulness. But her resentment towards change and pace made her some handful of friends, a long term monotonous work life and a zero functional love life. She never took distress in having some one in her life except during those cold gloomy nights after work at her home. But her sunshine in those times were with her father, when he would ring her up all the way from Dijon to talk about the weather, his growing sugar beets and the harvest season.
Her commute to work always involved taking a metro ride from La Chapelle to Madeleine and she enjoyed those times, reading her favorite books and watching people.
It was pouring down in Paris and as she got down to her station to go home, she noticed the whole station was crammed with people moving here and there. She dissected from the crowd and opened her umbrella and started walking towards the park to go to her lane. The moment she reached the park area, she could hear the crowd die down and soon heard her heels make rapid tap sounds. The rain has stopped almost completely and all of a sudden she looked around and found a shade of a man in an overcoat and hat stopping mid-way. Mia decided to ignore the shady man and walked right ahead and that’s when she found her heels tap being covered over by another tap of shoes this time. She stopped and looked around and found the same man, retrieve back into the shadows. Mia wanted to decide what her next decision should be, either she should run to Anna’s bakery which is one block away from here or she should take her lane, which at this point is deserted and dingy. The choice was easier and she made a run towards the bakery only to have found it closed. It was hardly 8’o clock. Mia decided that she needs to make the man feel threatened and took out her phone and started dialing her colleague at work. Now her hands were sweaty and she could feel her whole body shaking and she turns and starts walking back towards her home.
“Hey Rosemary, I forgot to tell you that Mark is waiting for me at home and I cant join you guys for dinner” She spoke out loud.
“What? Who is Mark?” said Rosemary
“I am so sorry, We will make up for it once Mark is free from his investigation that’s going on” Mia said
By this time she reached the front of her house and looked back and could not find anyone. She told her friend it was a mistake and kept the phone to open her gate. She couldn’t find anybody now and felt more relaxed and decided to buy a pepper spray on the way tomorrow. The moment she took out her keys from the bag, she noticed a small brown box which was having a small card attached to it. She took the box and opened the card to find scribbled in it “To my dear Mia”. Fear ran across her face and she immediately opened her door and sat down with the brown box. “Who will send me a box at the middle of the night with a caption like that? Should I inform the Police or should I open it first and then decide?”
Finally she decided to open it and tore it to find herself dumbstruck. The box was having a plastic bag covered with what appears to be white crystal diamonds and it was so sharp and slick but it contained another note. the note wrote:
“Dear Mia,
We are assigning you a task at the last minute. Make sure it reaches the below mentioned address within the next two days.
34, Raymonera Valley,
Bajimore,
Paris
Regards,
Prof T
She could not remember meeting a Professor T and she had no recollection of joining any cult force for sure. But she decided to go to the address anyway and figure out who the person is and then accordingly inform the police.
Next day morning she called her office and told them she is sick and started to walk towards the metro and thats when she noticed the man with the same overcoat and hat only this time his face was visible. He had dark green eyes, a crooked nose and was around thirty years old and she definitely noticed a smirk on his face. She gathered up courage and walked past him.
“A girl like you should not be involved in dealings like those” he spoke.
“Excuse-me? Who are you? Why were you following me?” She spoke, bravely.

Without further havoc they both moved towards the house and he had given the exact instruction and protocols to be followed in case of an emergency.
She went to the door, tapped twice and waited for somebody to open the door of the mansion of a house. A butler in a black-and-white suit opened the door.
“I am Mia and I want to deliver this box as instructed by Prof. T” Mia told.
“Could you wait here a second madam” excused the butler.
The lady who came to the door gave a quick shocked gaze and rushed back in screaming “DANNY, COME DOWN FAST”
A loud thumping noise came and entered a short beefy man with a white moustache as long as the Millau Viaduct Bridge. He glanced at her and immediately started dialing a number in his landline.
“Quick, he is going for the defense here. Somebody has blown your cover, come-on throw the box at him and lets scram” shouted detective Chase.
Mia was static and before she could do something, Chase grabbed her by the arm and they both started running.

Mia woke up feeling tired and heavy and she found herself in her bed and she started hearing upstairs movement in her house. She was fully clothed and her shoes were near her stand, without thinking she grabbed her purse and shoes and took off. She could not understand anything what was going on at this moment. Where is Detective Chase? Who is in my house? What am I getting myself into? There were too many questions that needed an answer.
She decided to go to her office as she had no clue what to do next and then call the police from there. As soon as she reached the office she could see Rosemary near the reception. Her face was expressionless the moment she saw Mia.
“Mia, what have you done? What is happening to you?” asked Rosemary
“You have no idea the kind of day I had” exclaimed Mia
“I know what happened yesterday, You go to a person’s place, starts screaming bloody murder and throw’s a box full of stones at her and her husband and mentions a detective and then you fled the area. Now,what is that?”
“That’s what.. wait who is the person..” Mia finished
“And the day before that night you called me and spoke about a boyfriend you never had, really Mia, I think you need help. We all think so too.” said Rosemary
“Who is this we? Who is this person you are talking about.” Mia asked and fretted the news.
“Mrs. Dorrothy Daniel”
