Hi everyone!! How is life? Did anyone miss me? Yes, I didn’t think so.
Lately I have felt a little skeptical about many things that is going on in my life and I’ve questioned everything that is going on around the world that I’m unable to put it all into words. Also, during this phase I try to stay away from saying or making any decisions that cannot be reversed. I would like to talk about a few such hasty decisions I have made before in life which are hereby listed in no particular humiliating order:
1) I had long, lustrous hair when I was in 8th grade and I remember one day while walking out of an exam hall a senior came up to me to say that my hair was distracting her from writing the exam. Usually, when people hear compliments, either they blush or say thank you, but you know what I did? I went back home that day, took the sharpest scissors my mom used for cutting up clothes and chopped my hair off right from the middle. In the evening, when she came back home from a tiring day at the office, I could sense her helplessness and disappointment while she caressed my uneven short hair.
2) I had a good friend (not imaginary!), and after leaving to do my MBA I got very busy with presentations and studies that socializing became a task. So she decided for some unknown reason to unfriend me from Facebook. And then I felt hurt and blocked her and we never spoke again. Looking back, even though it was highly immature and silly, I would like to blame the social media for it. Apparently Facebook had a huge impact on a 21-year-old and her friendship.

In order to make sure I get the figure right, I rang up almost all of them to ask them directly about where they stand in that fake scenario and I’m pretty sure I haven’t heard from most of them after this incident.
4) Since I’m a south Indian and haven’t enjoyed any other festivals from other parts of India, made up my mind to enjoy the 2 years of my MBA doing exactly that . Even though I enjoyed the first Holi festival with energy and fervor, in the second year, however, the seniors had to move out of the hostel and live in apartments nearby. So I stayed with four of my friends and one of them decided to bring in the freshest bhang to drink while we celebrate Holi. Bhang is an edible preparation made of cannabis, which is mainly mixed with milk and sweets during special occasions in India. My friend in excitement added more of bhang into each ounce of milk in the glass. Our instinct told us not to have the now turned green drink, but we did and ended waking up almost two days after Holi.
5) I had two gold fishes when I was a kid and when one of them died, I decided to cremate it in a jewelry box in front of my house. The moment I missed him, I decided to dig up the hole and look at my dead friend, only to be welcomed by a big white fat worm crawling inside. I never looked at a goldfish the same way again.
While we make decisions on our day-to-day life, it is necessary to understand that these decisions frame our lives, however small or big that is. So always listen to your heart and most importantly, even if you go against your instinct, you might end up finding a big fat white worm to compensate.
