Hello everybody! It’s the end of the week already and I’m excitedly waiting for the weekend to start. Not because of the fact that we mop around the house doing nothing, but I get to sleep for 9 to 10 hours which has been a dream for the past couple of weeks. The last two month I’ve been waking up around 6 in the morning not only to sit and write my blog but also to go to the bathroom before Bigshot hogs it for the rest of the morning. And I had been enjoying waking up early without complaining as it was my time to write as well as take charge of the rest of the day.
Recently though the desire to wake up early has not only diminished, it has become physically impossible to get up. You guys must have read my last week’s post where I whined about the lack of sleep, well, it’s still completely not in control. My eyes immediately starts watering up the moment I forcefully open the eyelids now. When compared to the time I used to wake up feeling energized, now I wake up with my feet dragging behind, directionless and partially blind. See the thing is during those times when I used to wake up early I had a good 8 hours sleep the previous night because I slept early. Now our bedtime has moved way past 11 and 12 that I’m hardly getting 6 hours of sleep and I know what many of you must be thinking, 6 hours isn’t bad. But in my defense it isn’t good either, my body is accustomed to a good 8 hour sleep to feel rejuvenated and fresh in the morning and also to be able to do work the rest of the day.
And the person that I’m, who else I’m going to put the entire blame for the whole situation other than Bigshot. He comes home late after work hence we have dinner extra late and that eventually leads us to sleeping late. By the way hi dad, we will start sleeping early from now on, it’s under control.
Not to forget, but the weather in NC has become unbearable for my body and it’s not even snowing here. Because of the weather I literally walk and do everything in the house like a sloth who has been told to hang from another part of a tree. I also walk around the house carrying an extra 4 kilos of clothes on me along with an oversized blanket to cover my entire body. The impossibility to get up and the will to finish some of the basic household chores has even become painful.

So clearly, I’ve been whining about the weather and sleep this entire post but I do have a solution for all of this weekend. This weekend is for hibernation, where I’ll just lie on the bed and read a good book without doing anything. At least that’s the hope but I’m sure we both will get hungry sooner or later and Bigshot and I get hangry sans food so we will end up cooking food anyway. But other than that we won’t be doing anything this weekend and that is something I’m very much looking forward to. And as of this Sunday, we are going to make sure to go to sleep early again only to wake up in the morning without having the feeling of strangling someone by the throat.
I hope all of you have a lazy and relaxed weekend and enjoy whatever that you love doing. 🙂
