Another Addition To Our Family

It’s my solemn duty after ranting about Christopher and his menace for a long time in the blog  to ALSO give you a heads up on the fact that we are adopting a brand new water filter into our lives! Yes, you heard it right! Years of carrying Christopher around in the car from one place to another, getting kicked on your pinky toes while writhing in pain, cleaning up after him when he purposely falls to create a leaking situation, I mean the reasons were plenty to have finally been able come up with this decision. Even though Christopher was the love child Bigshot isn’t ready to give up yet, the choice to get the water filter too was a fast move on our part and the moment we saw the filter, we knew that she is going to be a big part of our life. Oh yeah, it’s a she.

Bigshot and I believe that naming things in your household makes it’s easier for us to bond with them and makes it an interesting conversation if and when we talk about them. Okay that’s a lie! I believe that naming things in your household is fun and he just acts along with my whims and fancies. So after arranging a meeting with Bigshot yesterday and discussing over the names back and forth, we have finally agreed on the name Baudelaire. You should also know that Bigshot and I aren’t very much into creating unique names or finding creativity of any sorts when it comes to naming random things. We simply get inspiration from our daily life of watching entertainment. So this time we have named the water filter, Baudelaire from the Netflix show, The series of unfortunate events. Even though Baudelaire is a name I’ve heard of while reading the books, this is the first time Bigshot has heard the name and I must say he is quite excited about calling her Baudelaire.

You see, whenever I’m in stress, I go to amazon or any other website and start putting unnecessary and questionable choices of items into the cart and it surprisingly puts me in a better mood. I don’t know if any of you do the same, but it feels so good to window shop, online. Many of you in fact, might go to a mall in order to break a bad mood but malls somehow makes me anxious, specially if it’s crowded. So after dumping around 40 items into the cart in Amazon, I felt better and that’s when an item that has been in my wishlist for a long time came into picture. So when Bigshot arrived that evening I showed him the case I wanted for my laptop and before purchasing it we decided to get something else to get a free delivery. That’s when amazon slyly starts suggesting you things you had looked into previously and the water filter I had an eye on for a long time came into the list of suggestions. Bigshot and I looked at each other and that is the exact moment we knew that we are about to have our first ever successful telepathic conversation;

“Are you thinking what I am thinking?”

“Yes, I’m thinking what you are thinking, I think so…”

Online stores deliver generic no prescription viagra herbal pills straight to your doorstep free of charge. Keep away from the reach of viagra samples free children and pets. “I’m nervous, most of the time our telepathic conversation goes haywire and you get mad over the fact that we misunderstood each other. We need to get this right !”

“We got this V, I know it, I can just feel it! Okay on the count of 3. 1, 2, 3!”

And there we were pointing at the water filter on the screen and rejoicing over our first successful telepathic conversation. The decision had been made. We added Baudelaire to our cart and she is expected to arrive next week. Yesterday as we took Christopher for his last trip to the supermarket, there were some emotions that Bigshot expressed I’m not too comfortable discussing here but he said something in terms of “farewell” “last bonding” and “sinking heart”. I don’t know why he had to start hugging Christopher and making it an emotional affair when Christopher isn’t even going anywhere.  I mean, he will STILL be in our house, sitting in the laundry room as a back up in case if Baudelaire decides to act crazy on us. After all, I’m not ungrateful for the things Christopher has done for us in the past two years but I also know that he will always be waiting for me in that dark laundry room, waiting to hurt my pinky toes.
